For those of you who enjoy Bird watching, we are close to the Nature parks of Sotogrande and the Rio Guadiaro estuary.  Just a short drive away you will find the straights of Gibraltar which is on the flight path for many migrating birds between Europe and Africa.

Only minutes away from the Andalucia countryside and coastline we offer a homely base for your birding excursions. Our Guesthouse accommodation is ideal for 2 to 4 persons, and of course the single Birdwatcher is always welcome.

The Castle at Castellar with it's huge walls has balconies originally used by lookouts and also countless archer slits which make a perfect vantage point to watch the Kestrels, Kites and Buzzards soaring on thermals alongside the sheer rock wall beneath and alongside you.

You can mix the hobby of birding with a few relaxing days out or on the nearby beaches of Sotogrande and Torreguadiaro. Locally you will find traditional Spanish bars and restaurants to enjoy tapas and "menu del dia"
